How to take care of your feet at home - Arden Nails & Spa

At-home pedicures are a great way to give your feet some much-needed TLC. The combination of regular walking, exposure to the elements, and bad foot care can cause our feet to become rough. You don't need anything special to give yourself a pedicure at home; all you need are some everyday supplies. You will just require the following items: nail clippers, cotton pads, nail paint remover, cuticle cream, a nail file, a loofah, an effective foot scrub, and moisturizer. Collect the necessary items, then follow the instructions in this step-by-step tutorial to indulge in some self-care at home:

Step 1:
Trim and shape your nails first. Your nails should be clean and free of any residue from your old nail paint. Make sure you don't trim the corners too much, since this can lead to ingrown nails that are quite uncomfortable. You may sculpt them using a nail file.

Step 2:
Give your feet a good soak in a tub of warm water. Bath salts and warm water should be added to a basin or tub such that the water covers your ankles. A few drops of essential oil can also be added. A few smooth stones might also be added to the water. Place your feet on them and they will give you a little massage. For 15-20 minutes, soak your feet in warm water. Use a towel to quickly remove the moisture.

Step 3:
Exfoliating is the next stage. Dry your feet and apply cuticle cream to the base of each toe nail after the foot soak. Let it sit for a while. While you wait, exfoliate your feet with a foot scrub to get rid of any dry skin cells. Be forceful, but don't scuff the surface too much. " After wiping off the cuticle cream, use a cuticle pusher to gently push back the cuticle.

Step 4:
After you've finished cleaning, wash and moisturize your feet. Skin becomes softer, more hydrated, and less likely to crack as a result of moisturizing. Massage your feet well with a liberal amount. Additionally, foot massages activate nerve endings, enhance blood circulation and nourish the skin as well as foot muscles!

Step 5:
Your nails are now ready to be painted or adorned with glitter. It is up to you how you want to decorate them. Always use a base coat before applying any color. Apply a coat of nail paint once it's completely dried. Before applying the next layer, wait for it to dry fully. This will extend the life of your nail polish. Also, you may accessorize your feet with anklets or toe rings, as well.
